What is PSYCH-K®?
PSYCH-K is a simple, non-invasive, interactive and powerful process of change. It is a means to change self-limiting subconscious beliefs. At least 95% of our consciousness is subconscious and PSYCH-K helps facilitate change at this subconscious level.
PSYCH-K blends contemporary and ancient tools – from neuroscience research and mind/body wisdom. It transcends the usual methods of visualisation, affirmations, positive thinking and does not rely on will power.
How can PSYCH-K® help me?
PSYCH-K has been effectively used in changing habits and behaviours, improve wellness and reduce stress.
We all experience stressful and negative life events. Sometimes, we develop self-sabotaging beliefs based on these experiences and even from what we have been told. These reside within our subconscious, which is the habitual and automatic part of our mind. Once there, it becomes part of our narrative.
Our subconscious beliefs establish the limits of what we can achieve even when our conscious mind strives towards goals to create a better life. This conflict between conscious and subconscious shows up in many areas of our life:

How does PSYCH-K® work?
PSYCH-K creates a receptive, “Whole-Brain State”, dramatically reducing unwanted resistance to change within the subconscious mind. What is a PSYCH-K® Balance?
The two hemispheres of our cerebral cortex, when they are communicating become balanced and in harmony. A PSYCH-K Balance creates this balanced communication. The “bridge” between the hemispheres opens up to facilitate this communication, creating a Whole-Brain State”. This is the ideal state to reprogram the subconscious mind with new self-enhancing beliefs that support your goals.
Can PSYCH-K® cure physical health conditions?
PSYCH-K® is not a substitute for professional medical treatment and we do not diagnose, treat or heal diseases or disabilities, whether mental, emotional or physical.
However, growing knowledge and research about the association between health, emotions, behaviour and other factors has given rise to the new biopsychosocial model or the mind-body paradigm (Brower, 2006). This inter-disciplinary research field incorporates traditional areas of medicine with ideas, belief systems, hopes and desires in a new paradigm called psychoendoneuroimmunology – changing our thoughts changes our brain and hence, our biology and body (Ray, 2004).
Research emerging over several decades indicate the efficacy of an array of mind-body approaches (e.g., stress management, relaxation, imagery, cognitive-behavioural therapy) in addressing a variety of conditions (e.g., insomnia, headaches, chronic low back pain, improving postsurgical outcomes, cardiac rehabilitation). While the exact mechanism is still to be clarified, psychosocial factors from depression, stress and behavioural states are commonly acknowledged to have an impact on physiological function and health consequences (Astin et al., 2003).
PSYCH-K® was not one of these modalities studied within this research, however, it incorporates some of the common elements of mind-body approaches.
The PSYCH-K® approach is about transforming any limiting and/or stress-related subconscious beliefs that may be related to your condition. These beliefs are usually acquired in the early stages of your life, and often persist into adulthood, below the level of your conscious awareness. Thus, PSYCH-K® can complement professional medical treatment.
While it is not possible to guarantee a specific result, which depends largely on the individual and his or her condition, PSYCH-K® has a 30+ year history of helping people achieve a satisfying and joyful life, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Is there any scientific research about PSYCH-K®?
Jeffrey L. Fannin, PhD., Director of the Center for Cognitive Enhancement in Glendale, AZ published research based on QEEG/brain mapping in three peer-reviewed publications. The papers were co-authored by Rob Williams, Originator of PSYCH-K®.
The authors contend that moving into the Whole-Brain State shifts thinking out of the negative default mode, increases and speeds up information transfer between the left and right hemispheres and allows access to positive mood and cognitive openness. The research indicates that this bilateral, symmetrical brain wave pattern is activated when PSYCH-K® is used.
The three publications span three different disciplines: neuroscience, psychotherapy and business. The acceptance of the same research across diverse publications lends evidence of the wideranging applications and implications of PSYCH-K®.
PSYCH-K® Sessions
I offer private sessions in-person, or long distance, via phone or teleconferencing (Zoom).
We start by identifying the goals you want to create. This in itself is a process that involves fine-tuning, in a way that your subconscious will be able to accept and understand clearly.
Sometimes, there are perceptions of stress around a situation and we work to help you achieve a “Whole-Brain State” before working on goals to create self-enhancing beliefs.
Other times, there may be messages that you may want to understand. Experiencing recurrent events or chronic situations may be a way to get you to pay attention to an underlying issue or something important.
Taking specific actions helps the conscious brain see that change is happening, so we spend time to also create steps that you can action. Subsequent sessions can review these and your experience of change or obstacles to change.
We work as a team. While I facilitate, you will drive the session, meaning you decide on which goals or areas on which to focus. Your subconscious mind and higher self will also provide guidance or what is safe and appropriate.
Each session takes up to an hour. A single session works best for a single, and relatively simple issue.
A package of sessions can be arranged for complex, long-running or multiple concerns and/or if you would like to check-in after initial sessions to work on progress or potential obstacles to change. A series of sessions can also be arranged if you want to work on personal development or continued growth.
